Redirect to a topic or activity they love or find peace in when speaking of a past they can’t travel too. (“Esque se me olvidan las cosas,”” that’s ok grandma, I do too. Let’s drink lemonade and water your garden!) 3. Be prepared with lemonade and snacks 4. Find activities you mutually enjoy like reading. (“Grandma can you read me “Padre Rico, Padre Pobre,” again? I listen intently and dialogue and input with her, 5. Listen well; ask q’s about their life, show concern and care. ( You the only person I know who already applied these concepts to her life. Raising 4 girls, wow! And they all went to Uni and were cared for, elegant). 6. Create comfy chairs for naps and anticipate needs like a fan. 7. Show love and appreciation That’s it!
